I am a Christian looking for a devotional to use with a group of wives whose husbands have lost their jobs.?

We have a morning prayer time on Tuesdays before work begins. There are three of us who have had this happen. These are men who have always worked and provided.

I'm sorry that I don't have a Bible study that addresses this directly to recommend. :( However, something came to mind and I wonder if it might be worth it to take a look? Have to ever looked at Beth Moore's "Praying God's Word"? This idea was pretty revolutionary to me (I admit, I am a slow learner!) and it is a beautiful, encouraging study. Now this may not be at all what you need since it is broken into sections like --- praying God's Word over pride, over unbelief, over despair, over loss, etc. But for some reason it came to mind.

Reply:Focus on the Family requires you sign them up for the holy war that is funded by the religious right

why do people who support god and the war not also join and sacrifice their lives if they believe in it?

eldest age for males is 42.... see ya at the recruiting center (I am retired military, 6 tours middle east) now atheist thanks to those experiences and overt absence of a god or humanity save the ones we were killing

So your god needs to hear what you ask him for? Doesn't he already know what's on your mind?

Then your god is not that powerful.
