Well doubtful you are going to find a job on Yahoo Answers. Look in the newspaper, on Craig's List under employment. Something is bound to pop up.
Reply:Well if you are interested in International job and like to do jobs in multicultural organization in different countries like Canada,Australia,Italy,Britain,Dubai,Ger... Mostly European Countries.

That Matter is that big companies in that Countries can pay too much to there civilian as there salary so they usually hire from different countries where labor or man work is cheaper than their countries for that reason they arrange all for your visa ,Air ticket,Home and other thing in their countries.

They are waiting for you to call them and check on the status of your resume. They want to hire people who *show* genuine interest in the position. Start making calls!!!

I do. It's great. You can get a work permit in Thailand once you get a job. The school or uni will arrange it for you.

Looking for a job.?

i'm 15 years old and i want to know if i can get a job at a hospital. What are things i can do? if not a hospital.. where CAN i work at?

and dont say stupid things like babysitting, mowing the lawn, or walking peoples dogs. i mean a REAL job.
Looking for a job.?
You could go to a geriatric home, and talk to the management about running errands, like going to the local store and getting small items for the residents.
Reply:You have to be 18 to work at a hospital, why don't you take some CPR courses and swimming lessons and be a life gaurd for the summer.
Reply:You may not be ready for a paying job, but most hospitals would enjoy having young volunteers.

You could run errands for patients, give directions at an information desk, help out in the children's ward by playing games with kids.

I think they will find things for you to do, if you are dependable and willing to work.
Reply:You could be a brain surgeon at your local hospital. Just keep one of those masks over your face so they can't see how old you are.

I would find a list of welders near, or in the city, in FL you are looking to work and begin submitting resumes. Use a cover sheet with an introductory paragraph explaining your interest in the field. Also, include a brief list of your related credentials on the cover sheet.

Getting yourself out in the market and networking are really the only ways to get the job you want.

hi you

try tesco`s and i know that panny`s take on your age group so try them to
Reply:Ask you local businesses. You should ask the types of companies you see yourself working for in 5 years time. You don't want to be doing bar work. It's a no brainer, your nights out with your mates are gone then. If you do want something a bit less testing what about a paper round.
Reply:Loadsa places take on their summer staff around mid-term so its really hard to get a part time job now, maybe if your parents/guardians have an connections and can get you a job easier. Try handing in CVs into places with signs up.

Good Luck :)

HI! I am recently graduated a college with accounting degree, looking for a job, no experience. Any suggestion

You can find temp jobs or entry level accounting jobs doing AP, AR, bookkeeping stuffs.

However, if you are ambitious for your career start working on CPA accreditation as soon as you can.

A good place to post resume for accounting and finance related jobs is www.jobsinthemoney.com

Best wishes.
HI! I am recently graduated a college with accounting degree, looking for a job, no experience. Any suggestion
post your it up on hot jobs my husband did that and got a call for a job offer a hour later.
Reply:I suggest you also read job interview tips. you can find a great guide here:

http://www.kosspa.com/job-interview-tips...
Reply:Sure, I have a suggestion... be discerning in who you take that first job with. You are in a field in which there is a lot of demand... if you are good at what you do, try a big-name firm in your area first... then work yourself down the ladder if you need to. I recommend starting a list of 100 potential employers... then prioritize them in terms of who would offer the best pay, benefits, and work conditions (don't forget the work conditions... they are extremely important). Then start sending out your letter of introduction with your resume... follow-up with a phone call in a few days if you don't hear from them.
Reply:Go to Account Temps temporary agency. You'll gain experience and may even land a permanent job with a company you are temping for.

Temping opens up a LOT of opportunities.

13 and looking for a job.?
Yeah you also need a working permit if you want to work before the age 16 so you can either wait for the age 16 or

you can get a working permit from your school or you can try this website that is built for teens

http://economyhelp.blogspot.com you can find a like at the bottom also in the blog is tips for an interview that may

become handy to you but the website its self is 100% free you wont have to pay anything nor give bank info or credit

card info you dont need to give up any of that. its safe easy and fast cash just need to be 13 and up hope I help and

good luck
Reply:There are many child labour laws in place that prevent you from getting a job so young, so you can apply, but it is likely that babysitting is all you are going to get hired for.

You could also consider tutoring, or a paper route, but as someone so young, don't expect to hear back from actual businesses and stores too soon.
Reply:You can shovel out poop at horse farms, you can help on a lot of farms if the local laws dont' prevent it. Could be you could be golf caddy.. Most of this you will need to ask because of local laws.

Other than that standard answer.. .go to libary and get books on kid businesses you can start. You can start here

Any help? (serious answers only)
I am looking for a job..............?
You're almost describing a sales job. However, any job that involves travel and a company car means working 6am to 6pm at least, then there is catch up on Saturday.

Also, starting out at 40k is only realistic if the cost of living is expensive. In Oregon without corporate experience even with a 4 year degree it's hard to get a job that starts at 40k.

You are better off to make the list you have above into a 5 year plan for yourself. Not something you are going to obtain right away.

Im 16 looking for a job walking distance from san jose 95139! any help!!!!!! please!!?
I think your only options for jobs are the shopping centers along Bernal Road or possibly the Santa Teresa Golf Course. When I was 16, I worked at San Jose Muni Golf Course which was run by the same people as the Santa Teresa Course. Most of the time I worked in the kitchen of the Snack Bar but I occationally worked in the Golf Pro Shop or out on the Golf Course parking the golf carts. It was a good 1st job. Drop off an application and see how it goes. Good luck.

Hi- beware survey scams. They charge you to enter. Some will give you opportunities to enter sweepstakes. Sometimes, near the beginning, you might even score $5-$10 but meanwhile they are gaining loads of info on you and your family.

Right now in North America there are loads of places looking for young workers. Unless you are in a rarer location this will be true for you.

1. You can just look at windows of shops/fast-food places as you walk by. Many just put up little ads there.

2. Listen to people at school. Where do they work? You can even find info about places there but be careful.... do you really trust that person's opinion?

3. Figure out IN ADVANCE (work with parent/guardian on this) how many hours MAX. per week (anything over 10 usually kills schoolwork), the number of shifts you would take, possible transportation ideas. This will give you a big edge in an interview and will help[ prevent future problems. Here's a good little article-

http://www.collegeboard.com/student/plan...

4. Parent/Neighbors/People at Church etc. all have possible contacts. Ask, even if it seems hard at first.
Reply:Can you take the heat and humidity? If so, you might want to try a job at a dry cleaner.
Reply:Try babysitting.

Check in your area to take a Red Cross CPR class. They're usually either free or cost very little to complete.

You're at a decent age where parents will trust you. You get paid in cash and there are no taxes. You also have flexible hours because you can choose whether or not you can sit on a particular day. Try to find someone who needs a sitter on a regular basis.

But, you do have to be a certain kind of person to babysit. It requires a good deal of patience.

You're best bet is to call your local socal service department. Tell them what you're interested in doing. They should be able to point you in the right direction. Also, you may want to contact your local "community" hospital. They also will have some resources and be able to point you into that direction.

i am looking for a job. does anyone know a website?
The best jobs are probably the ones right under your nose. For example, if you like house work or computers, neighbors or friends would probably like some help.

There's a trick here: it's not because you can DO something that you WANT to do it...

Meaning: everyone has tasks, and some of them are very boring for some, but very satisfying for others. For example, your neighbor might HATE to mow their laws, wash the car or clean the gutters. These are excellent jobs for starters.

Good luck!

SharedReviews is a social network that allows you to connect with other consumers to share and learn about real consumer product experiences

Step 1: Create your Profile

Your profile is who you are, and although privacy is of the utmost importance, we encourage you to share the basic facts of your life, such as how many kids you have, what you do for a living, where you're located, how much you earn, and other factors that allow readers to understand not only the experience you are sharing, but what type of person you are so they can better empathize with you as a person, thus making your reviews more tangible and more valuable.

Step 2: Create Reviews

Review anything that you'd like from any one of our categories. Remember that the "tone" of your review is important, try to make it as enriching as possible. Imagine telling your best friend about a new product you bought, whether you love or hate it, that's what will garner you the most value for sharing your thoughts. Don't forget rich media! Real photos you've taken, videos you've recorded and even custom pieces of info such as your own rating terms make your reviews stand out.

Step 3: Socialize

The more friends and groups you join, the more likely it is that members who will vote when you post a review. Having an established network of friends on SharedReviews will help get votes for your reviews, and those votes translate to a higher ranking for the review in a category at the end of the month. The higher your ranking, the more you earn.

Not only can it be rewarding and fun to connect with your fellow consumers, those relationships will also be lucrative to everyone in the network.

Step 4: Cast your votes

Voting is at the center of how we share revenue with our reviewers, but it's also how we reward those who are willing to go beyond creating reviews to fuel the SharedReviews engine. Everyone who votes on a review that generates revenue earns a portion of the money earned from that review.

For example, if a review earns $20 one month, $10 of that is split between all the voters (Check out our diagram of how it works below). With only three little rules to remember when placing your votes, you can end up sharing in the earnings of 100s of reviews.

Voting Rule #1

You have a limited number of votes to cast in each category per month. The number of votes is determined by your ShareScore.

Voting Rule #2

For obvious reasons, you can't vote for your own review.

Voting Rule #3

You can only vote for a particular review once, ever.

Step 5: Earn Revenue

Each month, we share 50% of every dollar we make off of the experiences of our community. This includes both advertising revenue from the site itself, as well as lucrative syndication deal with third-party networks that place SharedReviews on other sites. The key is that you get paid when we get paid and each month the process starts so the earning potential never stops!

Get paid to complete surveys, join free websites, and more.

Payments are sent every month by check like clockwork!

Yeah, my answer's not very original... Radio Shack, Best Buy, Circuit City, or any other electronics store you can find.

Fill out every application you can.

Good luck with finding a job and getting over your shyness of dealing with people. ;] No need for it, after all.

~Hyuu
Reply:go to radio shack, any electronics store that around you and apply for helping customers find the product they are looking for that way you can talk to customers and not feel shy anymore
Reply:You could try Best Buy or Circuit City or maybe Radio Shack. You could also try WalMart or Target and see if they will let you work in the electronics section. Just put in a lot of applications and see how it goes.

Good luck.

Try your local temp agency. They have specialized staffing agencies that can help place medical professionals like yourself. This way you can get temporary positions in which you get experience as well as some money.

Reply:Hi dear try creating employment for your own by starting up a small business. You know in this global world jobs are very hard to get and mostly if you don't have the so called experience.

Alternatively you can go for voluntary work in some organizations like the red cross society, or some charitable organizations
Reply:Have you thought about working from home? I work from home and LOVE IT! The company I work for is Passion Parties and it is a very legit company. Help with looking for a job?
The top 6 places to get a job when you are 16 (that I can think of):

1) Restaurants. Usually not too hard to get a job as a busboy or dishwasher. Just walk in and ask the hostess if they are hiring.

2) Mall stores. If you live near a mall, just walk through the mall and pick the stores you think you'd like to work at, and ask someone behind the counter for an application.

3) At your school. Might not be any job options, but some schools have kids doing some of the work like cleaning after the day is over.

4) At a parent's or friend's parent's office: Usually the best paying, and the most boring. The most common job you could get at 16 would be filing or maybe office courier at a bigger office.

5) Check with your city hall. They might have some random job you can do.

6) Big box stores. Walmart, Target, Best Buy, Home Depot, Grocery stores, etc.

It's all about asking people if they are hiring. Generally, if it's a place where more than half of the customers are teens, you have a better chance of being hired (Mini-golf, batting cages, amusement park, mall, etc.) Just don't be shy about asking and you should find some opportunities! I'm 22 now, but when I was 16 I got a job as a busboy at a restaurant and when I was 18 I got a job at American Eagle.

Good luck!

I am looking for a job but my dad told me no one will hire me because I'm fat. Is this true?
no it is not true if they think you can get the job done they will hire you
Reply:No. That is not true. I do not know how far you are dwelling otherwise I would have hired you for my immigration law firm.
Reply:that was a mean thing for him to say! yes, you will be able to find a job and probably a good one. my youngest daughter is chubby too, she finished college and got a degree in computer programming, now she is working full time at the state capital building, programming computers.
Reply:Well don't take it personally because he's obviously harboring ancient memories of his parents abusing him and he's taking it out on you...Ok that didn't make you feel better did it? Well, prove him wrong!!!(depends if u actually are fat or not, but if ur obese, maybe u should lose some weight) Ok sry about being "insincere" but my main message is DON'T CARE ABOUT WHAT OTHER PEOPLE SAY YOU ARE A BEAUTIFUL PERSON(unless you raped someone, then screw you, "Ahem",) PROVE EVERYONE WRONG YOU CAN DO WATEVER YOU PUT YOUR MIND TO!!! (ok i know the random comments were unneeded, but hey, that's me!) I MEANT EVERYTHING I SAID (not the random comments, the inspiring ones)
Reply:i think some places wont hire people who are over weight, like the preppy stores, but everywhere i would imagine it not being a problem. tell your dad to go to hell for telling you that you are fat. that was inappropriate.
Reply:Wow, way to be supportive.

No, it's not true.

Reply:That really bitchy of your dad. EVERYONE IS BEAUTIFUL INSIDE!
Reply:no, your dad would never say that. He told you to put down that bag of fritos and get a job. U couldn't hear what he said because of the crunching.
Reply:Depends on the job you're applying for. Maybe if you're applying for a job as a stripper, he'd be right.

For one, I don't know what you look like, so I can't even go into any attempt to refute your dad's comment about you being (allegedly) fat.

Statistically, though, it IS harder for a fat person to get a job when their competition is thin.
Reply:That's not true at all.

However, to be fair, research has shown that obese people may have more difficulty landing a job than fit people.
Reply:no its not true

go apply at a fast food restaurant

don't let him get to ur mind

Reply:no that is a mean thing to say if you want to get a job it does not matter how big you are most companys look for a good personality not if someone is heavy. good luck honey go get yourself a good job try best buy
Reply:Your dad told you that you were fat, what an awful parent. You'll be able to find a job somewhere.
Reply:this is not true at all.he's just mad because he's wants you to be like every averaed weight girl or woman.don't give in because you'll be successful very soon.
Reply:If only skinny people have jobs, not much work would get done. I bet your Dad is not perfect.
Reply:I don't think so. I see people of all shapes and sizes working everywhere I go. Your dad must feel real bad himself that he would say something like that!
Reply:Aww...I bet your not fat at all!
Reply:Your Dad needs to stop injuring your pride. I am sure there are employers out there who are not looking for size but what a person has to offer when they are employing.

Look how many fat person you see out there in the working world. If you are looking for a job as amodel then it may be different and even the modelling world is looking at Plus size odels these days.

Reply:Don't feel bad hon'. As long as you are qualified, you can get a job.
Reply:No, absolutely NOT true!!! Don't you listen to a word that man says. You can get any job you want, honey.
Reply:Don't listen to him there are many jobs you Can GET. YOU MUST LEARN TO love yourself and not give a dam about what others say!

Live in Southern CA looking for best trucking job.?

Hi I will be graduating from trucking school in southern CA. Any advice on where to apply and places to avoid?
Live in Southern CA looking for best trucking job.?
The school you are finishing should have job placement services. Check with them first. If you want long haul, OTR, most of the major companies have openings, although most are interested in owner-operators. Be careful on that score. Don't buy ore lease any vehicle until you have some miles behind you - go as an employee first. Shop around in the phone book to find local truck companies. Make sure that you have a good resume put together.

All the best.

Young kid looking for a job...helppppp!?
You'd actually be a little better off doing some more independent jobs.

I know this is going to sound cliche but you can try and set up your own little buisness. If the weather is still fair you can:

Mow lawns

Rake/Bag Leaves

Wash and detail cars

Yard work

Clean out garages

ect.,

You could also consider doing other things like cleaning houses or taking care of someone's pet while they are away or busy. You could watch/babysit someone's kids while they are gone. I remember when I was around your age I had cleaned some carpets for a couple of people in the neighborhood for fifty dolars per room(living room/down stairs). It was hard work, but it was nice pay.

Or you can be creative and find some other ways to make some

money. I am sure though you can find something hon, and like Cheryl stated most jobs want you to be at least 15 or 16 in order to work for a buisness. Just keep looking and maybe ask your parents or a friend or someone if anyone they know needs help with something. Just keep looking, you'll find something.

Good luck to you.
Reply:It may be pretty difficult to get a job since you are only 14. Most places require you to be at least 15 and a lot won't hire below 16. McDonald's is a pretty dangerous place because of the grills and fryers. You might try Wal-Mart or similar type stores. They can use stockers on a regular basis.

if u live in a rural area or u are close to a rural area, consider getting a job on a farm or at a garden. many places will hire u for under the table/part-time work. i had 2 jobs like that; at a lettuce farm and at a lily farm. u could also consider finding out which of ur neighbors has a dog they need walked. i know some ppl will pay u $7 for an hr long walk of their dog.

I am looking for a hotline type of job?

I would like to help with missing children or give counsel to women, victims of violence. How do you find this type of job to do from home??
I am looking for a hotline type of job?
you would have to have a degree in sociology or psychology, unless you sign up for the Psychic Hotline work or something.

Try your local Crisis Line---volunteer for that and see if you have it in you--it can be very rough.
Reply:this kind of job is not that easy to find. you have to be trained and be tested if you are capable to do the job. a possibility that you must need a degree in psychology and some backgrounds on sociology, the environment of people from different walks of life, per se. you may go to your nearest city hall and ask some info on what centers you can find this job. some city halls will guide you what you like (or maybe depending on the country).

I am looking for a job , but am i getting slightly discouraged?

i want to get a job asap . because of family issues , my father tried to stab me with a knife yesterdy and they ( the cops ) arrested him . as of now he can't come near me or physically intimidate me . he got served .

My immediate problem is i need a job . but as i am looking i am worried if i won't be able to find any jobs that i like , or quite honestly i can't believe i will get a job . because of constant emotional abuse from my mom saying ( Get a job , get a job , look at other kids , they dn't do anything like you , look at ur cousins they are better , ask them to help you , get a job - first of all she pushed me into this degre , i never wanted to becoem an engineer , but now it has come as a help for me because i can make some money and move out )

but yet i am discouraged for some unknown reasons .

even while i am sitting here in this library near home and trying to find a job ?
I am looking for a job , but am i getting slightly discouraged?
Boy, you certainly don鈥檛 have an easy family to deal with. But although your mom is wrong holding other people鈥檚 job before you, finding a position seems to be a good way out for you 鈥?and you obviously already agree, otherwise you wouldn鈥檛 have asked this question

First, don鈥檛 just look for jobs that would fit your education or eventual degree. You can postpone this until later. For now, just see that it鈥檚 adequately paid, fits into your schedule and is useful for you at least at some level. This could be because you learn to coordinate with other people (teamwork), how to coach other people, how to stick to an assignment (dependability), or even just improve your physical traits, etc.

So do some tutoring, mow lawns, restock products at a grocery store, do some filing at a professional service organization, help neighbors with their computer, help out in a library, etc.

And, get some support: ask your friends, relatives and teachers, scan newspapers, go to a job fair, use and expand your social network.

Good luck
Reply:First time job jitters are very common. Find a company you would ike to work for and ask them if you could intern for 3 months. It will give you the confidnece you are lacking at present and experience and references to find a job that pays. Good Luck.
Reply:I'm guessing your young since this is your first job, you need to accept that your first job is probably going to be something you hate, mine was to sit and sort plastic into boxes on my own for sometimes 6 hours at a time, I hated it but you have to start somewhere, get a job that matches your skills and don't aim too high because then you'll just keep getting turned down and feel disheartened.

If you find the idea of a job difficult then trust me once the pay checks are rolling in you'll find it a lot more enjoyable and motivational!

I'm looking for a job ....?

I really need a job and I'm a recent college graduate with a degree in biological science. My illness has made it tough to look for one. I usually hate going outside and depressed.

The economy is bad too. I have to start paying my student loans.

What job should I look for? Should I consider fast food? I need a job as soon as possible.
I'm looking for a job ....?
We are in the same boat; I have a mental illness that prevents me from being able to work effectively. I dont know about the details of your illness, but have you considered applying for Social Security Disability? Its a last gasp, only work part of the time plan, but its a plan.
Reply:I understood that you don't have to pay back your student loans until you earn 15k a year right?

You need urgent help with the Agrophobia and depression so get that sorted.

Without these basics I can't see you holding down a job at anything and it is no good taking anything in desperation, you have to sort yourself out to give you confidence, if you are in the UK contact benefits ASAP and explain your position then get medical help.
Reply:You have a college degree, and you are asking Q%26amp;A for advice on what job to apply for? Dig a little deeper. Stay with your field of interest. Biological science is a little overqualified for macdonalds. Come on have some confidence.Looking for a job is harder than actually working. Dont give up, apply...apply...apply. Eventually the call will come. It is up to you.
Reply:You might be better off with an office job because you don't have to deal with the public too much and can just get your head down and concentrate on what you're doing. I have depression and I have promised myself I'll never work in the service industry again - it was too damaging, but you might be different.

Do you think he will grab the job?
Bush now looking for a job?
He's already turned it down.
Reply:I think its great that he is out getting a job. It makes him seem like an average citizen again. Which is ALL he is now. I dont see how anyone can knock Bush now when he is living his life just like you or I. Its kinda pathetic to be honest. Im sure there is more to this story than him just walking into the hardware store and saying "Im lookign for a job" for all this reporter knows the conversation took place before he got there and he was just making a silly informal greeting.

How would I get a letter of rec. without tipping off my current employer that I'm looking elsewhere? I don't want my current employer to know.
I'm a teacher, and am currently looking for a job. However, many districts require CURRENT letter of rec.?
Get a letter of recommendation from your most recent PREVIOUS employment or get a letter from one of your college professors who has observed you in the classroom.

Also, letters of recommendation can be from ANYONE who has knowledge of your skills and employability. It could be a letter from a pastor or the administrator of an organization for whom you have volunteered.

Perhaps in lieu of a letter of recommendation, you could put in copies of your most recent classroom evaluations (assuming that they are good).

I've never had trouble looking for one job while employed in another. Current letters of recommendation just mean that they need to be recent, not that they need to be from your current employment.

Good luck! I hope you find a great job.
Reply:I believe all, but I would discuss with each employer that the job you are currently working for 铆sn't aware and you'd appreciate if they didn't let them know

I am looking for a software (desktop or web based) to organize my job search.?

I need something to help me manage my schedule, contacts, job search related emails, former coworkers, companies I am researching or applying to, and so on.

If anybody knows of any good ideas I would greatly appreciate it.

Thanks
I am looking for a software (desktop or web based) to organize my job search.?
Try an office software which can help you organize those things. I know one software which I think could help you organize those things. it also has a lot of new features. There are several new features that you'll be able to access with MSDN Premium subscription. When you are looking at Microsoft Visual Studio 2008., this includes a smart client application, as well as very fast and quite flexible tools for you to use. Also, included in Visual Studio 2008 are very easy and fast ways to not only capture information, but to use and analyze the information in such a way that will help you make great business decisions for your business. Visual Studio 2008 is able to help you in several ways. It gives you amazing and quick application development, allows you to collaborate quickly and easily with a team, and has a breakthrough user experience.

All of these things and more are available to you when you have MSDN Premium subscription, which is something that anyone must access if they hope to be all that they can be online and for their home business.

Am redoing resume for new job search, looking for best way to "title" skills, office equip & med AAS?

My resume has become quite extensive. I have 30 years of work experience, jack of all trades - master of none. Graduated with Associates degree in 2006 for Health Information Tech. Currently am medical biller, but would like to do new job search as Administrative less billing support. With new resume have listed Computer Skills as one section(same as everyone else: Word, Excel, etc.) and Areas of Knowledge: medical transcription, terminology etc., as another. Problem is would I like to keep as much info as possible from past, but do employers now assume people can use a calculator, fax machine, phones, etc. like people used to list on their resume? Basically, am trying to keep resume from turning into a three page monstrosity!!! If I put the two sections together, I need a title like "Professional (fill in the blank)." Any suggestions, any H.R. people who could help would be especially appreciated. Thanks in advance.
Am redoing resume for new job search, looking for best way to "title" skills, office equip %26amp; med AAS?
For skills your general office skills such as caclulator, faxing, phones etc... You could just put "General office skills" or "Knowledgeable in all areas of office management" or 30 yrs experience in general office management. Just some ideas.

Your title could be Professional Health Information Administrator or Professional Health Information Tech

Maybe have a few different versions of your resume ready so that you could target specific opportunities and utilize the title they are seeking.

I wish you luck with your future interviews and please check these sites out when you can for more career help:

Thinking about quitting teaching, looking for different job...any suggestions?

Ive been teaching gym for 6 years and i'm sick of it. I'm thinking about doing something totally different such as sanitation worker. I can't take a pay cut...looking to make around 50,000. any suggestions??? sure u dont know me for a hole in the wall but maybe somebody will throw a good suggestion out there that i'd enjoy!!!!!
Thinking about quitting teaching, looking for different job...any suggestions?
You should submit your resume to leading jobsite like www.monster.com, www.careerbuilder.com. Also you should consult local placement consultant in your area. In the meantime, look out for an option to work online. Although it wont pay you like full time job but you can make extra cash in your spare time. I am a part time worker doing work online at home, so I would like to share a link where you can make $600-$1500 in a month working at home. The work need to be done is posting/answering a discussion and uploading any photo/image of your interest. For details visit

http://ommc.blogspot.com

I will publish few more genuine site in couple of weeks, where you can earn money. You may also write to me at talkofmoney@rediffmail.com (Note: When u are planning for a home based online work, be careful because most of them are scam and ask you to pay initial money. never pay money to any such site.)
Reply:Hello John,

I, too, have been working in education, but for 14 years. Have you considered going back to school to continue your education, or do you simply want to get out of education altogether???

May be you are just sick of doing the P.E. thing. I have found that a "change" is sometimes good. For example, I stepped out of the regular classroom to do a "specialty" job for a school year. This at least gave me the opportunity to see school from a different perspective. Have you considered getting your master's in adminstration? Do you work with any other individuals OR do you work solo? I enjoyed working with kids at one time, but times are certainly changing. I am interested in the grade levels you are working with. Let me know.

Should I tell my temp job I am looking for FT Nanny employment? Or wait until something happens with it?

The thing is I am being hired Monday here...but I'm bored with it, and I know I won't be happy here for very long (as wonderful as the people I work with are.) I just started seeking nanny employment so I can do something I'd love and start a family. Should I wait until I get some leads to say something just in case it bombs on me?
Should I tell my temp job I am looking for FT Nanny employment? Or wait until something happens with it?
Wait until you find your nany job and quit..you dont owe them anything!!!
Reply:Temp employers don't owe you anything, you don't owe them anything. They could let you go tomorrow with no notice other than "don't come in tomorrow. Today is your last day." So, I wouldn't worry about it.

Now, are the offering to hire you permanently? Or, just an extension of your temp job (or are you just starting the temp job?)

If they have offered you a permanent position, tell them thank you, but that you are wanting to go in a different career direction and ask if they will just keep you on as a temp until you find that position. They are obviously happy with your work and it will actually be cheaper for them to keep you as a temp instead of a full employee.
Reply:Wait because they will most likely not let you continue working (I wouldn't in their position). Hold out as long as you can until you have something to tell them.
Reply:don't say anything! once your old job knows that you are leaving they they are going to treat you completely different. just wail until you find your nanny job. then give them a 2 weeks notice. but if you have to start sooner than that just give a couple of days at least. good luck!! hope you injoy your nanny job. i always wanted to do that but i have a little girl now. no point of leaving her with a sitter so i can take of someone elses kids.

Is there anything you are particularly good at? - can you make things, you can sell them online or at markets.

Are you great at website making/ article writing/blog writing? - there are many oportunities here from people looking to market their products.

Do you know lots of people who need a babysitter? - if you like this kind of job you may be able to pick something up

these sorts of things can keep you busiy untill you can land a outside job
Reply:Here's a short list of jobs in the U.S., Canada and Europe which you can create to generate income:

1. Learn calligraphy so that you can provide handwritten invitations and thank you notes to prospective wedding parties, birthday celebrations, etc. Seek out clients through wedding planners at nearby churches and temples. A starter calligraphy kit usually runs around $20 and anyone can easily pick up this skill. The going rate is usually $1 per hand addressed item.

2. Seek from your neighbors a gardner position which involves planting, weed removal, plant/tree trimming, light brush clearance. You will be using the neighbor's equipment and tools. Again, do not represent yourself as a lawn mower since there are any number of safety issues involved. A door-to-door solicitation of surrounding neighbors is required and you can charge between $6 to $9 per hour.

3. Offer policing/removal or clearance of trash services to surrounding neighbors which involve trash pickup within nearby residential area. Limit the extent of pickup to small areas and be aware that there are no hazardous terrain or elements involved in this process. Again, a door-to-door solicitation of neighbors is in order. You can charge between $6.75 to $7.50 per hour.

4. Acquire a set of window cleaning tools [a bucket, liquid window cleaner, sponge, squeegee, handle with an extension and a small step ladder] and solicit local businesses for your window cleaning services. However, be careful to limit the height of the window cleaning to no higher than one story. Charge $1 per window panel.

5. Visit your nearest beauty salon and ask to be trained as a shampoo person who is also willing to sweep up fallen hair on the ground and do set ups [arranging dye kits, curler holders, etc.] for a set hourly fee.

6. Become a sign flipper by contacting your nearest realtor. A flipper is someone who stands at a major intersection and flips a "For Lease/Rental" sign in order to attract visitors to an open house or to a particular real estate listing. The hourly pay is at least the minimum wage.

7. Why not become a paid feeder servicing the disabled at nearby nursing, convalescent, assisted living/care centers and hospitals. It involves feeding food to patients who are unable to feed themselves. The starting rate is $8.00 per hour. The only downside is that one has to take precautions to wash one's hands after each feeding. A posting of your services [by a business card or flyer] on a reviewable bulletin board would be enough to generate customers. The paid feeder position is one of the fastest growing occupation at this time.

Good luck!

I'm 14 and looking for a job...?
Maybe a "door hanger." When I was 15 I worked for Papa Johns walking around the city all day putting fliers under people's doors. Jobs like those will usually hire people your age. And they usually pay in cash. Check around a bunch of pizza shops. Good luck.
Reply:It depends on your state, but many places will not hire workers under 16 because of restrictions on the number of hours you can work and the types of machinery that you can use. Your best bet are grocery stores, fast food restaurants and other retail stores. You'll have to get a work permit from your high school.

If I have to struggle to pay bills and looking for a part time job why do I need a man?

You're an idget.
If I have to struggle to pay bills and looking for a part time job why do I need a man?
Because finding the right person is more than someone paying your bills and you'll realize that when you find them. The right person is someone who can calm you down when you're upset. The right person is someone who is there to listen to you when you need someone to talk to. The right person is someone who is there when you need someone to just hang out with and be stupid with sometimes. The right person is someone to bounce ideas off of when you need them.

Well, you certainly do not need another job, if that's what you mean.

I feel you. Look for one who isn't just out for himself. There are a few out there--most of them are still married, but not all.
Reply:It depends. Do you have a man at the moment? Is that what you are saying? Actually, right now most people, married and unmarried are struggling to pay their bills. It all depends on whether you prefer to be alone ar love someone enough to want to be with them in a partnership.

The consequences are simple. And im from NYC.

When your new possible employer calls for a reference, your old boss is gonna say how irresponsible you are and what a jerk you were for leaving like you did.

So you better start up your own business, because if you walked in my door, i wouldnt hire you.
Reply:Now you cannot put that job experience on your next job application because the new employer will find out you left without notice... You need to send a letter formally resigning so the ex employer can pay you any back pay or fringe benefit payments you may be entitled to. Otherwise, they can use your AWOL situation as a cause for dismissal...

Next time, be responsible with your employer. You never know when you may need to ask for a reinstatement in a previous job. Always keep your options OPEN...

P.S. Not putting on your resume your last job is kind of like LYING. And if they find out later on, this is also a cause for dismissal...
Reply:not getting a recommendation.

that move must have been a very spontaneous decision.

was it worth it?

if you seriously needed to break 'free' and go another direction, and do something new, good for you.

most people sit and only talk about changes.

you apparently got tired of the same old thing and left. seeking better opportunities.

if you felt good enough to just pick up and leave, then keep your head held high and look the new potential employer in the eye and you tell him/her why you left so abruptly.

they should be looking at your skills, talents, and successes.

this move, if explained correctly, will gain their attention. and if you left for the right reasons, they should understand and accept.

however, be careful, some companies do not smile upon not given any kind of a notice.

use your best judgment. if you feel that they need an explanation then do so, if not, just keep smiling. never show or feel regret.

i have picked up and moved twice. i don't regret it.

if it is something that needed to be done, more power to you.

believe in yourself, keep the faith, and keep them wanting more.

good luck.
Reply:Well, it's not going to look good when they ask why you left your last job or contact your former employer. If you owned a company and an employee did this to you, how would you react?

I had an employee do that to me once. Needless to say I the prospective employer got an earful from me. She was actually a decent employee, but had resigned for reasons I understood. What was unacceptable to me was that she started calling in to say that she wouldn't be in. She even called to say that she had another interview and would be in. Finally, she just stopped calling or showing up all together- even though she wasn't even out of week one of her two week notice. We're a small company, so her actions wreaked havoc on our business and her fellow employees. You never, ever want to leave an employer like that.

A prospective employer will look at what you did and immediately think you're a flake; they'll consider that you'd do the same to them. Whether you would or not is not the point. You aren't the only IT guy on the planet looking for a job. Unless you have some phenomenal skills, it's going to take you a while to recover from this faux pas.

P. S. We are in a sue happy society, but the reality is professional to professional, especially in specialized professions, we all know each other and we all talk. I've had former employers give me the real deal on prospective employees. Normally these other professionals are people I know through professional organizations, etc. I value their imput as my peers because I've worked with them and seen their ethic in action. Frankly, all employer with this information has to do is say "We found someone more suitable for the position." How can you prove what they were told or that they didn't hire someone better?
Reply:they think you are dead yet?
Reply:Well given the new privacy laws and all, and the fact that people are "sue" happy, most former employers can only tell someone calling for a job reference if a former employee is eliglble for rehire or not.

In your case your former employer should say you werent eligible to be rehired. If the person calling pushed a little harder your boss would probably say you left without notice.

Next time take a few minutes and call your boss and give them the courtesy of letting them know what happened.

My brother is electrical enginner and has suffered from depression. he isnt looking for a job and .........?
Unfortunately, only he can do it. How? By going to a counselor, or other mental health professional. Depression skews ones whole outlook on life, and anything you say will probably be distorted. Do your best make him feel loved and important. Suggest, but don't nag about getting help...
