As long as the college gpa remains above 3.00 does it really matter when looking for a job?

Look at it this way,

When you get out of college, you don't have much to put on a resume. So how can an employer judge you? But after a few years no one cares about your gpa.

So, if you get a 4.0, sure flaunt it. But it doesn't really matter otherwise.

It makes a difference for your first job.

The higher the GPA the better and the more $$ you will make. So if you GPA slips - it will be costing you salary dollars.
Reply:If you are already out of college, your GPA isn't going to matter nearly as much as your degree field matters.

If you are still in college, the GPA will make a great deal of difference as far as the college's job placement office is concerned. |They will place the highest GPA's in the best positions.
